FUTURE OF FOOTBALL PROGRAM
Few weeks ago, the Future of Football kickoff program came to an end after 6 weeks of an amazing experience working in Dubai.
This initiative was launched by Dubai Future Foundation in partnership with UAE Football Association and SportBoost to improve the football ecosystem in the United Arab Emirates. In order to achieve that goal, three companies, out of more than one hundred, were selected to move to this second phase: Clupik, LEVERADE and SciSports. The main goal of this phase was for these companies to work together with different sport entities in Dubai, implementing the proof of concept presented during the first phase.
In our case, regarding the football strategy that UAE FA had visioned for 2043, we aimed to work on these challenges:
· Maximize the number of registered participants
· Collect quality data
· Reach & accredit the football leagues
· Create UAE FA ecosystem
· Make football economy grow
For that purpose, we started working with two leagues from UAE: Youth Football League and Arabian Women’s Football League. We gave them a 360º solution by implementing our technology and providing our tools to their organization so they could be able to, on one hand, manage all their data in an easy way and, on the other hand, organize competitions.
We´ve seen that in UAE they have a lack of sports structure, and our goal is to help them through our knowledge based on our experience with several international federations and leagues.
Meanwhile, during these last weeks we were able to participate in some activities and workshops organized by Dubai Future Foundation. WAMDA explained to us how to make a good presentation to attract investors, while In5 taught us how to set up an enterprise in Dubai. In addition, DFA gave some advice on how to create relations with other companies in Dubai and we were able to attend Clyde & Co.`s workshop about legal aspects to consider while having an enterprise in Dubai.
We are very grateful to have been able to take part in this experience and we hope to continue working with Dubai Future Foundation, UAE Football Association, SportBoost, Clupik and SciSports to improve the sports ecosystem.
