World’s first Launchpad for Sports Federations

LEVERADE will become the first Launchpad for Sports Federations. We will allow any federation in the world to launch its own cryptocurrency and NFT, thus opening more sustainable and transparent ways to capture value and new forms of exchange between all stakeholders in the sports community, from leagues to fans, clubs, and athletes themselves.

Federations will be able to use these mechanisms to enter the crypto world and benefit from a wide range of services, applications, and funding avenues such as ticket and merch sales, premium content, VIP experiences, or even the creation of a fantasy league with real profits on their token.

While there are other projects that create “fan tokens” and NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) for clubs, LEVERADE will do so for federations. Since federations already bring together the entire community of a sport, the use of blockchain to capture and distribute the value generated by competitions will have an impact on the stakeholders involved. “From sponsors and fans to the federation, clubs, referees, volunteers, and the athletes themselves”, said Romero.

For example, it will allow fans to vote for the national team jersey, have a say in certain federation matters, support their favorite athletes or teams, or have an input in voting for the best player of the competition.

Tokenizing federations is a HUGE step towards increased adoption of cryptocurrency in the sports industry — it allows us to tackle some of the sporting world’s most pressing operational issues, while creating an entirely unheard of stream of revenue for sporting entities.

Roadmap and Use Cases

Our roadmap is ambitious and seeks to bridge the gap between federations and the crypto world while contributing to the entire sports ecosystem, starting with the first Launchpad for federation tokens.

Among the uses mentioned by the company are the so-called “Play2Earn” mechanisms to reward athletes with federation and NFT tokens when participating in their events. Athletes can be rewarded with actions such as competing each week, improving their personal bests, or achieving a new record.

The tokenization of federations also opens the door to a sponsorship marketplace, putting sponsors and brands in direct contact with federations, clubs, and athletes. Thanks to blockchain technology, it is easier to obtain more resources from brands and to distribute them among the various stakeholders in a competition.

In addition, the startup’s plan includes the potential to support struggling leagues and clubs through crowdfunding mechanisms such as staking powered by DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), while rewarding supporters with a return on their contribution.
